As was previously reported on my Substack, The Ron DeSantis for President Campaign held a fundraiser on Friday, June 23, 2023. The $1,000 per attendee event took place at 1155 F Street, Suite 1200 in Washington D.C, which is the office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP, the self-proclaimed largest lobbying firm by revenue in the nation’s capital. A quick check of the company’s website shows that they proudly position themselves as a leader in Diversity, & Inclusion. Notably named on the host committee invite for the fundraiser is Marc Lampkin, Marc Lampkin, who has been registered as a lobbyist for COVID 19 vaccine manufacturer Moderna since February 2021. In addition to his work with Moderna, Lampkin has also been registered as a lobbyist for Pharmaceutical manufacturer AbbVie, the maker of the youth gender transitioning drug Lupron since 2014.
Mr. Lampkin was not expecting to be questioned on his participation in the event by Laura Loomer’s team. When questioned, Mr. Lampkin quickly ducked into a Pret a Manger café attempting to avoid further questioning on the matter. Mr. Lampkin was pressed on why he, as a lobbyist for one of the biggest COVID-19 manufacturers and child castration drugs, was hosting a fundraiser for DeSantis, who claims to be against child mutilation. Lampkin continued to ignore the questions as he searched for a deli sandwich, only stating that he did not feel that he was being hypocritical in supporting Ron Desantis.
When pressed further for comment on specifically why he supported Ron Desantis, Lampkin merely uttered the word “freedom” in a hasty response. When asked if freedom consisted of child chemical castration, Lampkin ignored the question and walked inside the fundraiser.

No members of the mainstream media were present at the entrance to the event, so perhaps the attendees assumed they would be allowed to enter & exit without being questioned by the press.
Ron DeSantis himself chose a much more secluded entrance to avoid any questions from members of the press after seeing Laura Loomer’s team in front of the venue with cameras. As was captured on video, DeSantis utilized a private garage entrance, which his motorcade of SUVs used as a way to isolate DeSantis from any engagement or questioning. DeSantis did not acknowledge any of the questions that were shouted at him upon his arrival to his Big Pharma sponsored fundraiser.
It is worth noting that mere hours before this fundraiser, DeSantis openly declared that the gender transition of minors was mutilation while speaking at The Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority Conference in DC, where President Trump is set to speak on Saturday evening.
Is the DeSantis campaign willing to overlook their own self proclaimed values as long as the donor checks keep flowing? It’s a question worth asking. It’s a question we did ask, but received no answer to.
It seems like Ron DeSantis is willing to say anything and flip flop on his policies throughout his race to the White House, so long as the price is right.
