Trump’s Executive Orders and the Big Tech Specter Occupying The White House
There is a specter now haunting 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Its presence can be felt behind many of Trump's executive orders, the staffing of many agencies, and in the advice being given to Trump.

EP95: The Golden Age Is Here
On Monday, January 20th, 2025, Donald J. Trump took his second oath of office, becoming the 47th President of the United States. In doing so, he joined Grover Cleveland as the only other President in American history to serve non-consecutive terms. Trump’s return to office comes with a sweeping electoral mandate, secured through a decisive victory over Kamala Harris in November. Americans gathered in Washington DC for the inauguration festivities and what was a monumental day in American history.
The inauguration is a day steeped in tradition and ceremony. Since George Washington took the first oath of office in 1789 on the balcony of Federal Hall in New York City, the event has symbolized the peaceful transfer of power and the will of the American people. Originally held in March, inaugurations were delayed to allow the President-elect time to travel to Washington—a daunting task in earlier times. Andrew Jackson, for example, endured a grueling three-week journey from Tennessee in 1829, traveling by steamboat up the Ohio River and by carriage from Pittsburgh to the capital.
Today’s inaugurations, now held on January 20th, have evolved into highly choreographed events filled with formal celebrations, solemn transitions, and grand public spectacles.
After taking office on Monday, President Donald J. Trump wasted no time implementing his America First agenda. In a whirlwind day, Trump signed over 200 executive orders that have already begun to transform the federal government and chart a bold new course for the nation—in what he is calling the dawn of a new "Golden Age." While there’s much to celebrate if you’re a MAGA patriot or a staunch conservative, we must remain vigilant. These victories are just the beginning, and there are troubling developments lurking in the shadows.
Let’s start with the most pivotal orders released so far.
Immigration Policy:
President Trump wasted no time addressing the crisis at the southern border. Declaring a state of emergency, he has reinstated the "Remain in Mexico" policy, requiring anyone seeking residency to await approval outside the U.S. He also directed contractors to resume construction of the border wall, a cornerstone of his first administration. To bolster border security, Trump deployed the National Guard, Coast Guard, and active-duty military units. Additionally, this order paves the way for ICE to conduct large-scale raids and deportations across the country.
This decisive action was long overdue, and the American people overwhelmingly support it. Polls consistently show that the majority of citizens want ALL illegal immigrants deported. President Trump’s swift action demonstrates his commitment to delivering on his campaign promises.
Ending Birthright Citizenship:
Another groundbreaking order targets the controversial practice of birthright citizenship. Last week, while previewing what the first week of this administration would look like, I mentioned that the United States is one of the few nations in the world that has such a policy. It is antiquated, dating back to Reconstruction as a means to force the South to treat Blacks as citizens. Now, in 2025, it is used for the practice of “birth tourism.” There are literally thousands of pregnant women each year who pay big bucks to get to America just to give birth to their child. Again, under the current reading of the 14th Amendment, anyone born here–regardless of who their parents are–immediately become citizens. Trump has ended this. As expected, the ACLU and a handful of states have already sued over this change.
January 6th Pardons:
Among the most critical and controversial order signed on Monday was one that officially pardoned and commuted the sentences of ALL the January 6th prisoners. For the past four years, hundreds of American patriots have been political prisoners in their own nation. During this time, they were subject to incessant government investigation, harsh sentences, and mistreatment by D.C. prison guards. The Biden administration was effectively operating a gulag in the nation's capital. For the past several weeks, it was unclear just how many J6’ers would be freed, if any at all. Fortunately, President Trump delivered beyond what anyone expected on this. Perhaps Joe Biden’s unprecedented preemptive pardons of his family and government goons like Anthony Fauci gave Trump the room to politically maneuver on this. And while we will hear whining and moaning from RINO’s and Dems over freeing the protestors, it was absolutely the right thing to do. These people had their lives destroyed. They were the victims of a political witch hunt, much in the same way that Trump has been.
Ending DEI and Gender Theory Initiatives:
One of the most transformative orders directed federal agencies to eliminate all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), gender theory, and affirmative action programs—effective immediately. Over the past two decades, these policies have undermined core American values, promoting division instead of unity. This began in earnest during the Obama years, slowed under Trump’s first term, and returned to full strength under Biden. Now it would seem that Trump is adamant about ridding it, permanently. DEI rests on the idea that if something is too “White” or “masculine” it is inherently bad. Anytime a leftist uses the term “diversity,” what they really mean is “non-White.” Not only is any such policy racist towards Whites, but it flies against the idea of a meritocracy that America has functioned on for a century.
Even more insidious is the spread of gender theory ideology, which claims that gender is a fluid spectrum. This radical agenda has led to the normalization of extreme measures, including irreversible gender reassignment surgeries for children. Such policies, often forced upon the public by the Obama and Biden administrations, have infiltrated nearly every corner of government, from the State Department to the military. Trump’s decisive action to dismantle these programs is a long-overdue correction.
These are only a handful of the 200-some executive orders signed in the past 100 hours. Any conservative should be absolutely ecstatic about what they are seeing. President Trump has already delivered on many of his key campaign promises, and it appears his second administration has already found its footing. These orders–and the personnel enforcing them–appear serious, which was sometimes lacking during the first admin. If Trump can maintain a focused, loyal staff around him, then he will transform this nation for the better. But there is cause for concern.
There is a specter now haunting 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Its presence can be felt behind many of these executive orders, in the staffing of many of the agencies, and in the advice being given to Trump. I am, of course, talking about the new “tech-right” clique that has manifested over the past few months. Elon is perhaps the most prominent face of this. On one hand, his support was instrumental in getting Trump elected. On the other hand, he advocates for mass-legal immigration through abusing the H-1B Visa system and bans people from X who disagree.
But there are other characters in this clique as well. Take Larry Ellison, the billionaire owner of Oracle–a tech company–who has carefully embedded himself near the President. Ellison, who is also one of Musk’s closest friends, will be a leading member of Trump’s new $500 Billion AI collaboration project, dubbed Stargate. Ellison has previously advocated for using AI to create a mass surveillance state that would make China’s President Xi and Foucault both blush.
The influence of this Big Tech rebrand would not be so concerning had they always been MAGA supporters. However, that is not the case. The vast majority of these people–including Elon–only hitched their wagons to the Trump train a few months ago. None of these people supported Trump when he ran in 2016, when he was President, or in the wake of the 2020 stolen election. They are here now because it is financially and politically expedient. They cannot, and should not, be trusted.
Otherwise, I think it is safe to say the second Trump administration is off to a fantastic start. The real test will come in the next few weeks as the left begins to push back against many of the executive orders and plans that Trump has put into movement. Will this admin be able to overcome the hurdles that caused the first admin to stumble? Will Trump be able to truly bring about mass deportations? Will he be able to end the conflict in Russia and bring lasting peace to the Middle East?
Time will tell.
Monday was a monumental moment for the American people and for the MAGA movement. What is not conveyed in all the pomp and circumstance is just how amazing Donald Trump’s journey has been. Take a moment to think about everything that transpired since he descended the golden escalators of Trump tower almost a decade ago. An earth shattering victory in 2016, an administration that rebuilt our economy and standing in the world despite constant opposition, a stolen election in 2020, the January 6th protest, abandonment from party leadership, a political rebirth, several near assassinations, and a sweeping victory this past November. Were it not happening in real time, before our very eyes, no one would believe the story of Donald J. Trump and his miraculous come back.
Yet here we stand, on the brink of a new chapter in American history. For the MAGA movement and the good people of this nation, Monday was more than just an inauguration—it was a celebration of resilience, perseverance, and the power of belief, and the power of a movement’s loyalty.
Laura,
Well said and great reporting.
Trump being elected was a victory for the USA, but we do wonder what happened to Vivek? He has been so loyal to Trump and when he was not nominated, he was the first one to step up and give his votes to Trump. Did Trump turn his back on him because he could not get along with Elon Musk doesn’t seem fair and Trump likes loyalty and that’s my issue with him!
Vivek was very loyal and we all wonder what happened to him. Seems like he was booted out after all the work he did. Would you report on this or are you gonna hide what happened? We want transparency!
GeeGee
Laura, enjoyed this article; uplifting. As far as immigration - do you see any changes coming for 'legal' immigration? The reason I ask is because I'm currently in the 'meat grinder' known as US legal immigration where they're making it nearly impossible for me - a US citizen, US taxpayer, US veteran - to return home to the USA. Been at it 3 years and they tell me it'll be another 30 months before they'll make a decision. In the meantime, my wife and I are in the family separation business as our two daughters moved to the USA in early 2022 into our home in Florida and we thought we follow soon after - would be a breeze to get my wife's 'green card' renewed. But instead of facilitating our return, US immigration chooses to grind us into fine powder. Check out my video for more about our 'no-brainer' situation. https://bit.ly/4fMxBrK
