Rep. Chip Roy Lies About ‘Holding The Line’ In Congress While Fundraising With Ron DeSantis In Texas

Lying has become par for the course by Ron DeSantis and his few supporters in Congress.

Representative Chip Roy (TX-21) tweeted a response to a breaking news alert that said members of Congress would be heading home from Washington D.C. for the week. In his response, Roy can be quoted as saying, “We should not leave town - our border is on fire & we have to get our job done.”

While Chip Roy may want to portray himself as a politician who is ‘holding down the fort’ in Washington D.C., his actions paint a different picture. In fact, when Chip Roy posted this tweet, he wasn’t even in Washington D.C. On Friday, September 22, Roy attended a high-dollar fundraiser in San Antonio, Texas for Republican candidate for President and absentee Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

It is quite fitting that amid talks of a possible government shutdown that absentee Congressman Chip Roy is fundraising with the absentee Governor of Florida in Texas.

I responded to this tweet by Representative Chip Roy with evidence from one of my most recent Substack posts which shows Roy was set to be a featured host of DeSantis’s San Antonio fundraiser that was held on Friday. Roy has yet to issue any response to the damning evidence that I have published, including the fact that DeSantis’s fundraiser in San Antonio was also hosted by former Congressman Lamar Smith, who is currently registered as a foreign agent.

In my exclusive report, I detailed the fact that Lamar Smith, a prolific DeSantis donor and supporter, has donated to the re-election campaign of vicious J6 committee member and radical leftist Congressman Jamie Raskin. Instead of doing his elected duties in Congress amid conversations surrounding a possible government shutdown, Chip Roy was fundraising for DeSantis alongside the individuals who are funding the weaponization of government and the radical communist Democrats that Roy claims he ‘stands against’ in D.C.

Not only did Chip Roy abandon D.C. during talks of a potential government shutdown, he also lied about it on Twitter. His continued allegiance to Ron DeSantis and his hopeless Presidential campaign are simply an added insult to the Republican voter base that Roy continues to lie to.

This isn’t the first time Rep. Chip Roy, who has endorsed Ron DeSantis for Presdient, has been caught attending one of DeSantis’s campaign fundraisers with dubious characters. On June 23, 2023, my team Team spotted Congressman Chip Roy and confronted him as he was walking into the CCP tied Ron DeSantis campaign fundraiser in DC that took place at the law office of a law firm that represented Dominion Voting Systems. The fundraiser was co-sponsored by Marc Lampkin, a lobbyist for Moderna, one of the largest COVID 19 Vaccine manufactures. Lampkin is also a lobbyist for AbbVie, the maker of LUPRON, which is a drug used to chemically castrate children who are undergoing gender transition.

It is also worth nothing that Chip Roy voted ‘YES’ on a continued resolution last week that would continue to fund radical and deranged prosecutor Jack Smith in his witch hunt against President Trump. Is it a coincidence that Roy, who has fundraised with DeSantis , is supporting the continuation of President Trump’s political persecution?

I don’t think so. Where there is smoke, there is fire, and there is no such thing as a coincidence.

Chip Roy is an embarrassment to the great people of Texas. I caught him in a bald-faced lie, and have shown how DeSantis and many of his donors continue to display their lack of integrity and honesty. At the end of the day, Chip Roy and Ron DeSantis are two absentee losers who have accomplished nothing for the American people.

They truly deserve each other!
